In one of my favorite shops, the modeling / collectables / brocante shop oposite of the Overloon War and Peace Museum, This vintage tin flat figure caught my eye.

Over the corona period, I put several little layers of paint on it. It's not even close to what I have in mind, and photographing it is not easy.

After cleaning the paint off and the bulges and other detail problems sanded of, a painting challenge unfolds itself. Flat figures are not easy to paint.

On close examination the paintwork is rather poorly, and the extra bulges in the wheels make me susspect it's a re-cast of a period original.
