Writing all these small pages with little text and many "known concepts" from 3 languages, I realize that it is useful to name things clearly.
abbreviations
sd.Kfz. - sonder Kraftfahrzeug. (German, meaning special or exceptional motorized vehicle)
Terms
Hei or heide - Heather or heath, meaning, the rural rough terrain of the 1930's
Holland - the Netherlands compises of (originaly) 7 provinces or counties. Originally Holland is the west coast.
Brabant - or Noord-Brabant. The southern middle province of the Netherlands where Eindhoven is situated
Wachtmeester - Literally watchman, meester also meaning master. Artillery and cavalry unit's use this as a rank equivalent to sergeant. An honorary title. Most M39's are commanded by one.
