I'm very fond of illustrations. Illustrations are often box-tops of modells. Hopefully a lot wil be added. The AHS illustration is a real work of art. The greasplan also is a beauty. It was common in these days where photographic work in manuals was expensive to draw parts. A class of it's own is the amazing work at o5o6.de. A must visit!
